It seems that Baltimore Spokes was founded on the principle if you want something done you have to do it yourself. And the logo displayed in the corner of the web site is no different. Nothing against Geeklog as their software runs the site but their logo does not depict what we do and are about. For now what

It is Bookfair week, with an all day Friday Film Fest and free bike rentals from Velocipede ($20 refundable deposit and bring your own lock.)
Through conversations with the school this matter has been resolved (but I have not had opportunity to confirm.) So this post is merely to provide a public record of an encounter with an untrained person directing traffic in an unsafe manner.
For those of you who have not seen the new bike lane going SE on University just after the Roland Ave split, it is way cool. They removed a travel lane to install a bike lane. This concept is very important to implementing our bike master plan well; obtaining road width where it is not absolutely needed for motorized travel. If you would like to see more road designs that accommodate all road users well, send a thank you note to Frank Murphy frank.murphy@baltimorecity.gov .

Thanks to someone who sent us info on this I was able to attending this meeting. At first I was concerned about some of the issues raised but after looking into it the issues presented all are fabrications and misrepresentations that ride right on the edge of being out right lies. The insidiousness of the presentation of trying to turn people that were for the trail against the trail I find incredulous and signatures gathered by this group based and such misinformation should be tossed into the nearest land fill.
