National Lawyers Guild Article on Critical Mass

...
Guild member, Jason Meggs, of the Bicycle Civil Liberties Union, which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this month, believes that Critical Mass should be respected and supported by government and police officials. "Any city that wants to make good on its commitment to safer streets, healthier communities, protecting the environment and evading global climate change should celebrate, embrace and protect Critical Mass where it is so fortunate to have them appear. Bicyclists have the right to the road and, of course, the right to demonstrate, but law enforcement is not always prepared for this inversion of the status quo when the streets are filled with bikes rather than cars for a change. Unfortunately, in this country, the response is almost always one of repression." http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?p=4842564;

Like most people I live a hectic life and who has the time for much exercise? Thanks to xtracycle now I do. By using my bike for daily activities I can get things done and get an hour plus work out in 15 minutes extra of my time, not a bad deal and beats taking the extra time going to the gym. In case you are still having trouble being motivated; the National Center of Disease Control says that inactivity is the #2 killer in the United States just behind smoking. ( http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/bb_nutrition/ ) Get out there and start living life! I can carry home a full shopping cart of groceries, car pool two kids or just get lost in the great outdoors camping for a week. Well I got go, another outing this weekend.
