Bike master plan

• Alleheny County PA Park Master Plan (1,298)
  A master plan for the PA park service including bicycle accesses and on road accommodations. See Appendix C - Trail Development Standards for more specific information on bikes.
• Anne Arundel County (1,468)
  The purpose of this effort is to present a Plan for bicycling and walking in Anne Arundel County that ensures that residents and visitors have the convenient and comfortable option of bicycling and walking for transportation and recreation.
• Baltimore County (1,334)
  The Draft Eastern County Pedestrian and Bicycle Access Plan was developed by an advisory Action Committee composed of local citizens, elected officials and government staff. Taking input from citizens who live, work and play in the area, the Action Committee's plan identifies future pedestrian and bicycle improvements. The plan, which covers the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Council Districts, is the first phase of what will eventually be a County-wide plan.

• Baltimore\'s Bicycle Master Plan (1,986)
  Receiving further feedback from citizens, civic groups, local elected officials and others will help us refine the set of routes that are recommended for the final master plan. Please review the map and send your comments IN WRITING
• City of Hagerstown bike master plan (1,042)
  The staff of the City of Hagerstown wishes to thank the dozens and dozens of people who reviewed and offered constructive comments on the draft plan. These comments have been reviewed and as appropriate, embedded in the final Bicycle Master Plan document. The final plan is available here for your review, use and sharing with others and staff anticipates the City Council will review and hopefully endorse the plan in March 2010. [Note: It was adopted in March.]
• DC Bike Master plan (1,203)
  DC recently went through a process that we are going through and that is a developing a master plan for accommodating cyclist. You can take a look at the good and the not so good.
• Harford County Bike Master Plan (918)
  The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan is an important part of helping to make Harford County a truly multimodal community; one that promotes and supports increased bicycle and pedestrian activity. It is also an important step in helping Harford County become a healthier community.
  
  Development of the Plan is anticipated to take about a year. To help with this effort, the County Executive has appointed a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from various government agencies and departments as well as bicycle and pedestrian advocates.
  
  The Advisory Committee will meet periodically throughout 2012. The first meeting was held January 25, 2012. CLICK HERE to view a summary of that meeting.
  
  The second meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2012 at 5 pm in the second floor conference room, 220 S. Main Street, Bel Air, MD.
  
  Information will be posted on this site as development of the Plan progresses. As part of the planning process, public input and participation will be included through workshops and the Planning and Zoning Online Community.
• Howard County 2005 budget (1,187)
  While we are waiting on Howard County to develop a bike master plan they are doing things to make the situation better. I found this budget report with a number of bike related projects (just search for bicycle to find.)
• Howard County Bicycle Master Plan (1,396)
  BICYCLE MASTER PLAN GOALS & OBJECTIVES
  * Identify and develop countywide system of bicycle facilities to foster connectivity within and between the following: villages, communities and neighborhoods throughout the County, as well as neighboring cities and counties, parks and recreation centers, schools and educational institutions, commercial and employment centers, and regional and local transit facilities.
  * Facilitate recreational and transportation trips by bicycle in the County and improve safety for all types of bicyclists.
  * Recommend County policies that will support bicycling, including bikeway facility design.
  * Build public support for implementation of the Plan.
