Bring Your Message to Washington…By Bicycle!

Brita Climate Ride will return for its fourth year this May 13-17, 2011, and will once again see hundreds of cyclists pedal beautiful country roads 300 miles from New York City to Washington, DC to raise awareness of renewable energy and the climate crisis. This “climate conference on wheels” and fully-supported adventure raises funds for a collection of nine hardworking non-profits including 350.org, Washington Area Bicyclist Coalition, Green America, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, and 1Sky. Brita Climate Ride is the first multi-day, multi-city charitable bicycle ride to address climate change and renewable energy issues.  The event also endeavors to showcase the bicycle as the ultimate carbon-free machine and a viable form of transportation. Climate Ride will also return to California on October 2-6, 2011. This gorgeous 5-day, 320-mile ride along California's spectacular coast begins in the Redwood Empire near Eureka and finishes across the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco.
