B'more GREEN ride: downtown to Patapsco trails.. 50/50 road/MTB!

Looking for local rides(ers)Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 7:00 AM

Start: Panera Bread
600 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD (map)
We'll be on bikes!

This is a casual & fun (and zero emissions) ride from downtown Baltimore to Patapsco trails.

Roadies: You're welcome to show up on skinny tires and head out west with us on the Gwynn Falls paved "trail" before we peel off. If it's wet, we'll all stay on the roads for duration of ride

MTBers: If you're interested in dirt only and you want to save your knobbies, feel free to just meet us at the Park N Ride on rte 166, near UMBC, between 7:45-8am

Then we'll hit the trails for an hour or so loop and head back, all (mostly) downhill back downtown... Woo hoo!

Ride to Columbia, MD

Looking for local rides(ers)Saturday, September 10, 2011, 8:30 AM

By Light Street Cycles
1124 Light St, Baltimore, MD

I'm planning to ride to Virgin Festival at Merriweather Post Pavillion this Saturday. Anyone going to the concert can join me. Otherwise, just ride out to Columbia with me, have a picnic brunch, and return. The ride out should be about 21-25 miles. (still working out the route) Can pick up folks in Ellicott City on the way.

Cyclist Rally for Clean Energy, Annapolis!

Looking for local rides(ers)

Saturday, September 24, 2011, 11:00 AM

100 State Circle, Annapolis, MD (map)

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Bike Maryland, the Bike Doctor Annapolis and Clean Currents invite you to bring your bike to Lawyers' Mall on September 24 for the state's first "rolling rally" for clean energy. The event will be part of a global day of action on clean energy called Moving Planet and will promote efforts to develop the state's offshore wind energy resources. Based on their performance last year it’s clear that we really need to clearly illustrate to Annapolis legislators how to move the state forward on offshore wind energy. Part of a global day of climate action called "Moving Planet" the event will take lawmakers through the whole process start to finish – from the rolling rally of skates, bikes, skateboards, strollers and more taking the "people-powered movement" to State Circle, to a theatrical bill signing and the final assemblage of miniature wind turbines by workers on the water. So sign up to join us on your bike or other people-powered vehicle this September 24! More info at http://bit.ly/rolling...
