Safety in Skirts Women's Ride

Saturday, November 26, 2011, 8:00 AM

Panera Bread - 600 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD

Also called the "Candy & Confidence Ride"

Join us for a girls' ride from downtown Baltimore to Patapsco State Park & back. Total riding time will be about 3+ hours, half on the road, half on the trails!

Mountain bikes are recommended, but any bike will do.

During the ride, we'll talk about riding safely and confidently in the city streets, as well as proper body position and safe riding techniques for the dirt.

Feel free to join for the road portion on your road or hybrid bike at 8:00, or meet us just for the trail part at 8:45 AM at the Park N Ride trail head at Patapsco (on Rte 166).

Of course, skirts are optional, and guys are also welcome!

P.S. & bring some candy if you can- the most interesting candy wins a special prize!

Likely both. The Pancake Interception route was a ride I cobbled together quickly based on a very silly idea- ride a bike to the all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Union Bridge Fire House. Several things about the ride just fell into place:

Ride to Columbia, MD

Saturday, September 10, 2011, 8:30 AM

By Light Street Cycles
1124 Light St, Baltimore, MD

I'm planning to ride to Virgin Festival at Merriweather Post Pavillion this Saturday. Anyone going to the concert can join me. Otherwise, just ride out to Columbia with me, have a picnic brunch, and return. The ride out should be about 21-25 miles. (still working out the route) Can pick up folks in Ellicott City on the way.
