I guess, we need more info about the ride you need a route for (i.e., approximately where you are starting from and where are you going, is this a commute to work?)

This is for a road ride I want to incorporate as many climbs as possible

Bellemore north of Joe's Bike shop has a nice climb. Some like Belleona for it's rollers.

What I might suggest is use Google maps for a tentative route (you can drag the first offering around to catch what roads you like) And the get a link for that route and post it here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/225536-Where-are-the-MD-people-s?p=13565006#post13565006 and state that you are after as many climbs as possible.

Greater Brown has made somewhat of a career of chasing hills in this area so you should get some nice advice.

this is a recent ride it was a little to flat and busy for my tastes although a cold december headwind did make it quite lively

Head west young man. Seriously, Howard County in general or Illchester Rd (west of Patapsco) specifically just to name one climb that some like to do repeats on.

I don't know if I headed as far west as you suggested although this was a better ride I need to avoid some of the busy roads that I took and this could be a great recurring loop

This is just a tentative partial route showing off some roads with nice climbs http://ridewithgps.com/routes/869823
(Caution coming down Gun Road as there is a gate across the RR tracks.) (

In general heading SW from Ellicott City and crisscrossing the Patapsco river will get you good climbs.

Since I tend to avoid hills, I have not given much thought to routes to catch the "best" of the hills but this should be a start.
