Please volunteer to help with Greenscape ’08!

We will have a table set up for the Transportation Working Group for kids to learn about the topics you discussed and add their ideas.

We need volunteers to help with the Transportation Work Group table.

Please let us know if you can help! Contact brett.buikema"at"baltimorecity.gov

Greenscape’08 is an environmental event for youth on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.

There will be free food, games, and prizes. Attendees will be given ‘passports’ to be stamped at different working group tables so the kids can learn about sustainability and provide comments about issues that concern them. The passports can then be turned in for a free T-Shirt and entrance into a raffle for larger prizes.

There will also be free performances by the following acts:

12:00 - Least Common Denominator
1:00 - For the People Entertainment
2:00 - Shodekeh and Max Beats

Come join the fun! Flier: <a href="http://cityservices.baltimorecity.gov/moit/Greenscape_Flyer_2.pdf">http://cityservices.baltimorecity.gov/moit/Greenscape_Flyer_2.pdf</a>;

Like most people I live a hectic life and who has the time for much exercise? Thanks to xtracycle now I do. By using my bike for daily activities I can get things done and get an hour plus work out in 15 minutes extra of my time, not a bad deal and beats taking the extra time going to the gym. In case you are still having trouble being motivated; the National Center of Disease Control says that inactivity is the #2 killer in the United States just behind smoking. ( http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/bb_nutrition/ ) Get out there and start living life! I can carry home a full shopping cart of groceries, car pool two kids or just get lost in the great outdoors camping for a week. Well I got go, another outing this weekend.
