Like most people I live a hectic life and who has the time for much exercise? Thanks to xtracycle now I do. By using my bike for daily activities I can get things done and get an hour plus work out in 15 minutes extra of my time, not a bad deal and beats taking the extra time going to the gym. In case you are still having trouble being motivated; the National Center of Disease Control says that inactivity is the #2 killer in the United States just behind smoking. ( http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/bb_nutrition/ ) Get out there and start living life! I can carry home a full shopping cart of groceries, car pool two kids or just get lost in the great outdoors camping for a week. Well I got go, another outing this weekend.

question. i recently started biking to and from work about 5.2 miles 1 way through the city into downtown. 1st day was great. 2nd day, i got cut off by a school bus and had some woman honk and fuss at me. i try my best to stay as far as to the side as possible but im worried i might be doing something wrong. any tips for a newbie biking in the city? thanks all
First off congratulations on biking more. While biking to the side is considerate of faster traffic it is not required by law as It also depends on faster traffic being considerate of you. Since few of us have a police officer following us to ticket the offending motorists there are things you can do to reduce unsafe passing by motorists and give yourself more manoeuvring room to safely avoid motorists that put you at risk. We have set up a link category to highlight some of the webs best cycling advice. http://www.baltimorespokes.org/links/index.php?category=Must+read+for+bike+safety I recommend to look at the video first as it will help visualize proper riding.

Unfortunately that is not much you can do about honking or drivers fussing at you. So far the best rejoinder I have found is "If you think I am doing something illegal call the police. If you take the law into your own hands, I call the police and you go to jail [, insert license plate number]."
